“BIM and Technological Progress”

2021.12.20

A couple of weeks ago our Design Team Leader Julius Zykus and Technical Director Ramūnas Filipavičius were attending the conference “BIM and Technological Progress”.

At the event experts of Lithuanian and foreign companies presented the currently prevailing technologies and software in the construction industries and how the advantages of the BIM process can be applied in practice. Also, during the conference the new book about BIM was presented. It is the first book in the Baltics States about Building Information Modeling (BIM) process and it is first in the world training book for building information modeling with integrated Augmented Reality (AR ) technology. We are proud to be the main supporter of the book.

This book is for future construction professionals, participants in the construction process – customers, designers, builders, manufacturers, suppliers, property administrators and anyone interested in the digitization and efficiency of the sector. In the book you can find 20 solutions from international companies and the latest information on BIM technologies.  We also shared our know-how about unitised curtain walls design in it. We use CATIA software in our processes and use Solidworks and Inventor in BIM processes.

As a business we feel responsible to share our knowledge and make the information easily accessible for younger generation, students and general public about the UCW design, BIM and many other important topics from technological and engineering perspective.

The BIM book is the world’s first training tool for building information modeling with integrated Augmented Reality (AR ) technology. The digital models used in real BIM projects is possible to view using smart devices.

The book was published by UAB “Super Namai”.
