One of the famous Clarion hotels was opened in Helsinki, Finland. The project was carried out by the sea, in the Jätkäsaari district, where 17 000 new homes and 6 000 office spaces have been constructed in the recent years. In this area, the Clarion hotel is a place of meeting for both turists and Helsinki locals.

The building consists of two 16-storey and 19-storey towers, connected by completely transparent gallery, which creates a feeling of lightness and grace. Davidsson Tarkela Oy, the architects of the building, designed the exterior facade as a collage of playfully changing tones, which reflects the vivacity of the water on the walls of the building. Non-transparent parts of the building are covered by composite plates of two colours, which are resistant to external factors and sea climate conditions.

Because of the high thermo and sound insulation requirements and the necessity to carry out the most part of the construction during the coldest time of the year, KGC developed a custom element system solution for this building. The total area of the construction was 13 500 square meters.
