“Kalvebod school” in Copenhagen isn’t only an exceptional construction in Denmark, but also in all of Europe. The height of solid façade construction – element – is 13 meters, covering three floors of the school.
The construction is covered with unprocessed aluminium, which is quite unusual. However, the most extraordinary detail about this project, one that has no precedent in Europe, is the extremely high façade elements.
The total façade area is 5663 square meters and it consist of 194 elements, each of them 13 meters long. The fitting of these elements it is three times more efficient than usual. In the canter of the school a 10.5 meters high gym hall is located, with façade made of aluminium and glass.
“Kalvebod school” project, whose value exceeds 3.6 million euros, is situated next to such gigantic buildings as Crown Plaza, Copenhagen Towers and the newly built Royal arena.
