The new project Kilströmskaj developed by Swedish private capital company Svensk Bostadsutveckling is located on the shore of the Baltic Sea. The project consists of three different height buildings and includes 50 apartments with 4,300 m2 usable area.
For the whole building construction, it is decided to utilize exclusively glued solid wood constructions. Such complex production solutions for these buildings will be developed by Lignas AB engineers. The main focus of design is to achieve the maximum level of building construction prefabrication. For this reason, solid wood walls, roof and other building parts were delivered on-site with already included windows, skylights, insulation and cladding.
The main project’s attribute and peculiarity – is volumetric balconies, designed as modules, that will be assembled and completed in the factory allowing to install them in the building site at minimal costs.
